Salaams and Hello Everyone !

After almost 2 months, I am back with my needle, thread and fabric story..*wink*. Many things had happen in just two months..some are good news and some are sad news...hurmmmmm..that's is life is all about.

Above is a mini project from the book titled Beginner's Guide to Hardanger - Jill Carter. This project use a hardanger basic techniques which I am familiar with but some stitches are new to me such as reversed diagonal fagotting ..(sound technical right? *sigh*). I have to unpick few times due to miss counting the number of thread...however when you had mastered the technique and familiar with the fabric that you are working on, it's going to be fun and I enjoyed doing this piece very much.

Cross stitch, Hardanger and Ribbon Embroidery

Hello All,

Here is my SAL Update *blushing*.., I did not progress much since last month update. Still need to fill up the blanks with appropriate colors and stitches. I can foresee slower progress in the next three months. Nothing much can be done to squeeze more time for my stitching hobby. Workload is getting heavier with few crisis that need immediate attention and both DD will be having an important examination which is just around the corner. I am very happy to see all of our SAL members progress. Congratulations to all my SAL buddies and happy stitching the next shelf.

Look, what I had bought from MPH Midvalley today.*smile*. I had no intention to spend on books or magazine for this month, but when I saw the SALE BANNER, 20% off for members, I cannot resist and found two books in my wish list, so I just grab it..A beginner guide to Hardanger by Jill Carter and A Beginner Silk Ribbon Embroidery by Ann Cox. I love both of it. Explanation and illustration is simple and easy to understand..but..do I have time to do it..One fine Day..I will..*wink*

WIP - Hardanger

My first attempt to do hardanger and specialty stitches. I am not satisfied with the result as the colors looks dull to me. The pattern is from Victoria Sampler website. Since I don't have the Dirty Linen cashel, I used 28 ct lugana ivory, thats seems to me does not blends well with the white perle no# 5. Hardanger also not perfect..sometimes the straight stitch for the Kloster Block slanting to the right or to the left..(even though I was in the good mood)..LOL..

I have not decide on the finishing whether to maka an ornament or scissors fob. Will decide later as I need to continue my Bookmark Exchange WIP.

Thanks Sis Ros and Dania for the encouragement and guidance, also my stitching frens for being supportive. After this, more handanger project will be in my WIP..hahahaha..
