Salaam and Hello Readers *smile*

Working with dark maroon colour fabric gives me a good challenge for colour composition. I had  browsed a pile of embroidery book and mags from my mini library and google-ing to search for ideas and inspiration for the colour theme until I become lost and unsure what I want *hiks*. (overloaded of information *sigh*)

I usually look for the design first before decide which colour to use and I do limit the number of colours used depending on the design and the ribbon size to avoid it from becoming crowded.  Since I am using the ribbon size 1 inch for the flower, it can easily become the focal point of the design and I must try to maintain the design tagline - looks simple and sweet as requested by my customer.

The color matching process can take weeks, it's like writing a drama script with identified actor and I need to find what is the role and how to make the story interesting *wink*.  Sometimes when I got stuck, I will placed the design at few corners of the house, look from far - think and imagined.  Remember what Albert Einstein quote "Imagination is more important than knowledge". I have knowledge to do the Ribbon Embroidery and I need an imagination to turn it into one design *wink*. 

Alhamdulillah wa syukrulillah, I am happy with the result and I do hope my customer will have the same feeling too, InsyaAllah *smile*.  This design will be turn into cushion with finishing size 19 inches x 19 inches.
