My Joy of Baking - Chocolate Genoise


Salaams and Hello everyone *wink*

Still in the mood of baking, this time to fulfill my youngest girl request for Chocolate Genoise. The recipe is from Joy of Baking. Since cuti sekolah, boleh la me trained my 2nd girl to learn baking. Yang lagi 2 orang tu, suka makan ajer..hehehe..siap cakap lagi with me and their father, esok2 kalau kita orang dah kerja kan, kita orang balik rumah ibubaba jer makan yer..malas nak masak..adoii haiii..neway walaupun dorang tak minat, we still slowly teach them to cook at least yang simple2 dishes..


Rasa dia mcm a bit chewy cake but ok lah for me untuk kelainan.


Special request jugak, nak filing chocolate banyak2, so me pun buat tebal2 hah..:-). Ingat nak letak raspberry tapi tak jumpa pulak kat giant..malas nak ke Jusco, biasanya memang selalu ada. Bila buat kek nie, teringat la pulak my baking lesson kat ICCA, ingat nak sambung series 2, tapi bila tengok new fees yang naik sampai RM150 dari RM600 to RM750, mak aihhh..mahalnya..padahal baru jer me attend kelas tu in June tak silap..tak sure la apa yang mahalnya..of course la barang2 kot..tapi takkan la drastik sampai camtu..neway takpelah..kat internet pun banyak jer resepi yang we can try and learn to do it kan..we try, we make mistakes, we learn and later kita improve *smile*

shima, jom la buat, tak susah sebenarnya..sal nie suka buat sebab kat rumah ada orang yang suka makan dan habiskan sebab sal pun bukan cake person :-)

Bertuah anak-anak dapat hidangan kek dari hasil air tangan ibu sendiri.

kakDee kekadang bermimpi juga untk buat kek, walau pun yang simple.... tak terhasil hingga kini.

nyam nyam... sedapnya cake... kalau saya buat cake, saya yg paling byk makan hehe... kdg2 rindu jugak nak baking, tapi harga brg makin mahallah kak Sal...

Yati sama dengan Kak Dee. Tak berhasil lagi. Pernah cuba 3 kali so far, jadi macam bengkang la, tak naik la, pahit la. Tapi akan cuba lagi....
Sedap tengok gambar kek tu, kak Sal! :)

Yoon, ha ah memang barang2 kek mahal sangat sekarang, since kak sal selalu buat, berbaloi la beli, kalau beli nak buat semata satu kek jer and nanti sampai expired pun tak buat lagi..rugi lah kan..

salaam yati, tips pertama, selalu on oven dulu sebelum bakar kek..pastikan oven tu tak panas sangat..biasa kak sal guna temperature dalam 175-170..hanya kita yang kenal ragam oven jadi kena adjust accordingly. kedua, masa cream butter dengan gula, jgn lama sangat..ikut jer instruction berapa lama pukul, then masa mixing tepung pun kena ikut arahan..pukul atau just kacau..insyallah boleh :-)

Oh.. Yati ada panaskan oven juga, tapi 180 C. Next time Yati turunkan sikit.
