Alhamdulillah wa syukru lillah..sudah memasuki bulan jamadil awal..nak tinggalkan Februari lagi seminggu.  Masyallah sungguh pantas masa berlalu. Permulaan tahun baru dengan ilmu yang baru. Barakallahu feek ain atas tunjuk ajar. Didoakan Allah memberi rezeki yang diberkati dan ilmu yang bermanafaat serta menambahkan kebahagian buat sahabat yang memberi tunjuk ajar.  Allahumma Ameen.

Coin purse nie adalah 100% handstitch dan pertermuan 4 penjuru ini sangat penting. Mesti tepat kata cikgu.  Salah satu kekemasan jahitan di nilai disini *wink*.

Part pasang frame nie lah yang paling tricky dan mencabar.  Cikgu tunjuk cara tapi tergantung kepada keselesaan kita untuk memasangnya. Kalau ikut jahitan cikgu yea, tak nampak kesan jahitan tu tapi since me nie jenis jahitan tangan kalau ranking 1-10 tu me rate my self 5 jer esp kalau part susah macam nie, rating tu boleh menurun sebab lagi susah dari jahit tangkai beg..hikss

Apapun bila dah siap tu rasa sangatlah berbaloi dan dia sudah pun bertuan. Nampaknya me kena jahit lagi dua sebab DD dua orang tu dah bising..yang tukang jahit punya sendiri pun tak ada..errr memang selalu cam tu kan *wink*

I baked a macaroon

Lamanyaa tak update blog..sampai kena hijack dengan html bugs which direct this blog to neocounter..bla..bla..bla..me kena install no script add-on kat mozilla to stop the problematic gadget yang me installed kat blog nie..alhamdulillah.,the problem solved.  Lets cerita about my macaroon project.

Yang nie confirm la jadi kan..dan tak kekwat macam nak buat macaroon yang sebenarnya but still 3 jam jugak mengadap benda cinonet nie dekat Yee Button.  This half day workshop was conducted by Artchala handmade, yang friendly and went smoothly  since me pun dah ada basic stitching technique especially ladder stitch atau invisible stitch.  Yup..this macaroon is 99% hand stitch yea..lagi 1% tu untuk board dalam tu me gam jer..hihihi..tak kuasa lah akak nak menjahit lagi sebab dah 3 jam sampai kebas tangan buat running stitch dengan ladder stitch.

Wallahhh...jadi juga walaupun senget benget sikit sebab memang kena sabar banyak lah nak jahit ladder stitch kat zip dengan based atas dan bawah.  Apapun sangat happy dengan my own macaron coin purse.

Clover Clamp Shell Si Kerang Busuk

Assalamualaikum and hello readers :-)

Sebenarnya lama dah me beli template clover clamp shell nie after tergoda with my cousin nyer clover clamp shell.  We had mutual agreement for a crafty session at Tasik Perdana where she had agreed to provide a clamp shell tutorial for me and my niece.  Unfortunately, both of us seems unable to find a right time for get together crafty session.  Masing-masing weekend pun sangat occupied with family events and other commitment.  This clover template is available at Yee Button and I bought two sizes of M and S.  L is quite  big for me as I need a small box that I can carry in my handbag to keep my lipstick and small accessories.

I found that the tutorial at youtube is more beneficial and easy to understand than the instruction showed in the packet.  It is not difficult to do but I need lot of patience as this involved 100% hand sewing which I don't like very much..adehhh my serembat adalah fail, and I salute my mom masa muda-muda dulu ambik tempahan baju kurung jahit tangan!..teringat my mom ajar me jahit mata lalat, me yang jadi pening lalat..sekarang kalau nak mintak ajar pun sure lah dah susah sebab mata my mom pun dah tak berapa nampak.

Clover Clamp shell yang sempurna adalah mulutnya yang terkatup kemas, unlike mine macam kerang busuk jer tersengih *hiks* and if I showed this to my cousin, definitely she will screaming " Ya Allah, buruknya jahit..hahahaha..I dont care, janji cuba :-)..hiks

Bahagian dalam, sebenarnya kedudukan batting tu pun dan salah, and susahnya nak cari batting nipis..kalau yang bagus dan nipis macam dalam youtube tu rm60++ per meter, mak aihhh,..pengsan kot kalau nak guna buat clamp shell, unless nak guna buat blanket ke ok la spend that much, so me bought yang murah, tak ingat berapa luas tapi memang boleh buat berpuluh2 clamp shell nie cost me dalam rm18 jer tapi tebalnya tindih dengan buku berat sehari semalam pun tak nak nipis2..hihihi

Chair Pad

My first attempt to do this chair pad has been successful..*ear to ear grin*..so this project is save from being thrown into my dustbin..*LOL*. This chair pad is for my dining chair. I will need to sew 6 pcs and so far I had completed 2 pcs. I had bought the fabric-- I am fan of elyza fabric, few months back with intention to sew the chair pad before raya but, as usual my project always goes beyond the target date (yang terbabas masuk tong sampah pun ada..hiks) except for any exchanges with my stitching friends..*wink*.

Stitching Blues..

Now, JE Friendship-SAL has officially start. This will takes approximately 8 months to finish as per set target. Being as a Puan Organiser, I should create a good mood and example so that all my stitching buddies will sustain the good mood till the finishing stitch. However, I don’t feel like stitching in these few days. I’m still on holiday mood..*smile*..

I try to push myself on SAL track, after seeing my stitching frens had stitched something on their fabric, I picked the needles, and do a lazy gridding on my fabric..my way of doing it, stitch one backstitch on every 10, 20 or 30 box...suka-suka hati me je buat. I know my frens will laugh at my gridding..LOL. I managed to stitch few lines before my focus and attention deviate to the television, browsing to internet and reading the Impiana magazines..LOL. I am enjoying the moment of doing these leisure activities since completing my study this year.

Hulla Hoop...Hulla Hoop

A new stitching tool to aid my stitching for a small project such as exchanges and gifts. I already have one hoop from DMC which I bought for my Ribbon Embroidery project which is currently hibernate until further notice..LOL. Since I attended the basic RE class last year..I have yet to produce any RE works but stashing a lot of ribbons. ..LOL. I like this new hoop because it does not use any screw to adjust the tension of the fabric. I never use hoop for my big project as I’m afraid that it may damage the stitches or the fabric. I am used to in the hand method as I am comfortable to hold the fabric especially for wide fabric. I had tried to use it with my current EMS-WIP and I think that I'm going to like this spring tension hoop.

Antique Rose and mystery brown spot

It is irritating to see those brown spot suddenly exists on your framed masterpiece *wink*. I am wondering what will happen to all my framed xstitch in the next 10 years. I am still looking for the X factor that had caused this culprit spot. I had send both for framing at the same time but strange that the spot did not exist on the framed Peony. I always told my framer not to use glue on the fabric for framing purposes. Sometimes looking at those spots just makes me want to remove the fabric from the frame, wash it and then re framed it.But I am not sure if that will help and who knows, the spot might be appeared again. The answer to this brown spot is still a mystery to me.

My Stitching Disaster

Porcelain Treasures by Linda Bird - I like everything displayed in the pattern. It's blue and white china platter, coffee pot, cup and saucer, a vase and a bowl. I also love the hydrangeas flower but was never success in planting the flower..LOL.

The disaster happens when I was about to complete the chart. I have done almost 80% of the chart when I realized that I had wrongly measured the fabric width. I don’t have enough space for framing and to stitch the end of the flower. It makes me so frustrated. Over the years, I have learned the correct ways in measuring the fabric and not just by assuming. I had to put it aside and leave it as a treasure for me to learn from my mistakes.

Stashing

Online shopping can be addicted because it is convenient. However, we might get frustrated if the purchased item arrived late or never at all. Those are the risk in doing an online purchase. However, those problems never stop me from continue to add more stash into my new collection..huhuhu..Sweet Six Strand and Simply Shaker with background linen gingham 28ct,
